Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
Draft pending legal review. It describes what this website does today and will be updated if that changes — for example if analytics or a donation payment flow is added.
This policy covers www.shaathi.com.bd. It explains what the website collects, why, who else sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.
The short version: the only information this site collects is what you type into the contact form. There is no analytics, no advertising tracking, and no account to create.
Who we are
Shaathi Foundation is a social enterprise based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, working to end period poverty through affordable reusable sanitary napkins and menstrual health education. You can reach us at [email protected], on +880 1312 345 678, or at House # 27, Road # 6, Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka 1205, Bangladesh.
What we collect
One thing: the contact form on our Join Us page. It asks for your name, your email address and your message.
- Name — so we know who we are replying to.
- Email address — so we can reply.
- Message — whatever you choose to tell us.
What happens to it
When you submit the form, the three fields are sent to our own server, which emails them to the Shaathi team. They are not written to a database and no copy is kept on the website.
The email then lives in our mailbox like any other message. We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful — typically no more than two years — and delete them after that.
Spam protection and Google reCAPTCHA
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. To do that, Google receives your IP address and information about how you interact with the page, and sets its own cookies in your browser.
That processing is Google's, not ours, and is governed by Google's privacy policy and terms of service. We only receive the pass or fail result.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels and no session recording. We do not know who visits, which pages they read, or where they came from.
The only cookies you may pick up here are Google's, set by the reCAPTCHA widget described above, and only on the page that carries the contact form.
Server logs
Like any website, ours is served by a host that keeps short-lived technical logs — IP address, time of request, page requested, browser type. These exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything you send us.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
- The Shaathi team members who handle enquiries.
- Our email provider, which carries the message.
- Google, for the reCAPTCHA check described above.
Links to other sites
Our news pages link to coverage on other publications' websites, and our footer links to our social media profiles. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not ours.
Children
Much of our programme work is with adolescent girls, but this website is written for adults — donors, partners, schools and volunteers. We do not knowingly collect information from children through it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Because we hold so little — only what you sent us — this is usually a matter of deleting an email thread.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the site collects, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page itself.
